MICHAEL BLANTON (DOUG & CAROLYN BLANTON'S SON)
Michael was injured while retrieving a basketball from the rafters at school in 1995. Michael is a very special person from a special family. He is a role model and inspiration for what faith and positive attitude is all about. We are fortunate to know
him and call him family.
Michael has been an outstanding athlete both before and after his paralysis' who competes in wheelchair weight lifting and holds 3 national powerlifting records. He also participates in wheelchair racing. Michael aspires to go to the Paralympics. We
know he will as he does most anything he puts his mind to.
Michael also devotes his time at local schools to speak about personal responsiblity
as part of Shepherd's Hospital "Think First" prevention program.
